Dennis is a South Korean filmmaker-animator based in South Korea and the US. Growing up in Seoul and New Jersey, Kim’s interests in drawing and storytelling naturally led him to creating works in the medium of film and animation. With a deep interest in exploring existential themes and their relationship to humanity, Kim uses intricate character and world building to tell his imaginative, allegorical stories. While studying Fine Arts and Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, he directed short films which were featured on notable online platforms including Short of the Week, Vimeo Staff Picks, DUST Sci-Fi (Gunpowder & Sky), Omeleto (receiving over 1.3+ million views), and as well as numerous short film festivals worldwide.
